Tire Profiles Inc. is a small company focused on the development of innovative measurement products for the automotive market. The primary product is TAC-Scan, a laser based tire profile measurement system. Tire Profiles Inc. currently has an opening for a Support Technician who will assist with the development and deployment of the TAC-Scan product
Position Description
The Support Technician is responsible for:
- Assisting with development and testing of the TAC-Scan product:
- Developing testing programs to trial new production units
- Developing software and/or hardware fixes to identified issues in new production units
- Assisting with customer presentations and demonstrations
- Providing support and training to new and existing customers
- Working with new customers to integrate the TAC-Scan unit into their business
- Providing training sessions in the use of the scanner
- Supporting existing customers through routine site visits
Required Skills
The ideal candidate for the Support Technician will have an Associate degree in electronics or at least four years experience working in a mechanical and/or electronic environment. They will also have the following skills:
- Experience with embedded software development is preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Possess excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as significant interaction with customers will be required.
- Possess advanced computing skills
- Must be willing to travel within the USA and Canada.

The position reports to Manager - Engineering Application Development
